Domaine du Pegau 2019 Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Cuvée Réservé
Arrival Sale pricing available now through Sunday, March 13th
It seems like every couple of weeks we’ve been getting a new vintage of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in from our favorite producers, all from a pretty spectacular vintage no less; back in January it was Beaucastel, followed by Usseglio, and now the 2019 vintage of Domaine du Pegau has arrived.
Domaine du Pegau is a father & daughter operation run by Paul and Laurence Féraud, though the family has been growing vines since the late 1600’s. The family sold fruit off to negociants for years before Paul bottled wine for the first time under his own label name in 1964.
Laurence convinced Paul to properly name the domain in 1987 beginning the current era of Domaine du Pegau. They grow all 13 varieties allowed in Châteauneuf with their Cuvée Réservé being made up primarily of Grenache with a little bit of Syrah and Mourvèdre followed by a blend of the other allowed varieties. The grapes are hand harvested, fermented in concrete tanks, and then the wine is matured in large, old 5000L barrels for 24 months.
There is very limited availability, especially of the magnums, so call now to pay for your bottle. (800) 446-9463
